Several residents TODAY spoke to were unaware whether their blocks were within the cluster — which now covers 40 blocks and close to 3,000 households — or not.
But statistics from the National Environment Agency (NEA) show that homes are the main breeding grounds. At least 50 home breeding sites were discovered at the three clusters in Bukit Batok — compared to only seven public areas, such as drains, discarded receptacles and puddles.
